Ad Club members enjoy a busy slate each year! That agenda combines professional and educational development, community education and service, as well as social events and professional recognition. The Ad Club's slate and all club activities are directed by a Board of Directors comprised of Ad Club members.

To ensure the continued excellence of programs and services offered to members and to the community, the Club hosts one major annual fund-raising event a year, such as a Benefit Auction.

Professional Education and Development
Throughout the year, the Club hosts events and speakers designed to enhance and further professional knowledge and skills. In recent years, Club members have enjoyed educational events such as a three-day workshop on Photoshop, speakers on expanding creativity and on-site tours of related industries such as International Paper.

To encourage and support college students studying to enter the advertising field and related areas, the Club assists area colleges and universities in the formation of college chapters of the Erie Ad Club with benefits such as reduced membership and admission fees to Ad Club speakers and educational events. Annually, the Club encourages outstanding students majoring in advertising/marketing related fields by sponsoring the Ad Club Presidential Scholarship.

Social Events and Professional Connections
Recognizing that good fellowship and fun are important resources for the creative business that our members are about, the Ad Club includes a healthy agenda of opportunities for socializing and networking within the professional community. Luncheons, dinners, evening meetings and outings are a few of the fun events.

Meeting with old friends, making new friends and expanding horizons as people, as well as professionals, is an important aspect of membership!

Professional Recognition
The culmination of the Ad Club yearly agenda is the announcement of the exciting ADDY^® Awards competition. The ADDY Awards recognize the outstanding advertising and marketing work of area professionals in all media and genre. Ad Club members as affiliate members of the American Advertising Association are also eligible to compete at the AAF district and national level competitions.
